Our culinary cycling tour, “A Taste of Nova Scotia”, combines stunning ocean views with the region’s renowned cuisine, viticulture and Atlantic hospitality to craft an unforgettable cycling experience.

Throughout this Cycling Adventure guests can count on indulging in the freshest seafood, discovering artisanal cheeses, baked goods and other local specialties while exploring our craft beer and burgeoning wine industry most know for our award-winning “Tidal Bay” appellation.
With a mixture of trail and on-road riding this itinerary is designed for individuals looking to get a good amount of exercise while also leaving time for relaxation and enjoying what the region has to offer.
Cycling Highlights:
- Pedal along the Rum Runners Trail, with breathtaking ocean views and a rich history
- Explore the scenic Annapolis Valley, where rolling hills and picturesque villages await
- Cycle through charming coastal towns, like Lunenburg and Mahone Bay, with their colorful buildings and charming harbours
- Take in the stunning vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, with its dramatic tides and picturesque coves
Average daily distance: 25-60 km (15-37 miles)
Terrain: Mix of flat and rolling hills, with some short steep sections
Difficulty: Moderate, suitable for cyclists with some experience
Accomodation: Comfortable ranging from cozy B&Bs to luxurious inns

- Guests have to option to do the Route in reverse however this tour is designed to start outside of Windsor

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must occur by writing to: info@iheartbikeshfx.com Cancellations that occur within 60 days of the departure date and up to two weeks before are subject to a 25% processing fee. Cancellations before 60 days will receive a full refund. Cancellations that occur up to two weeks before the departure date are final sale and non-refundable.
Trip Summary:
- Day 1: Trip Start! Get picked up by your driver and transferred to your starting point. Starting point will depend on rider comfortability and desire. Explore the Minas Basin & Avon River, home to the highest tides in the world while winding your way to Wolfville passing many wineries along the way! (On-Road Riding – Stay in Wolfville)
- Day 2: Explore the Wolfville Area, ride through orchards and farm land, climb the Lookout and have lunch by the sea! (Mostly on road; one steep climb…worth the views! Stay in Wolfville)
- Day 3: Morning Ride and Depart for Annapolis Royal via Transfer. Option for warm-up ride in Annapolis upon arrival. Morning ride includes option for a few coffee, wine, and baked goods shop serving as “lunch” if desired. (Stay in Annapolis Royal)
- Day 4: Explore Annapolis Royal and surrounding area (Stay in Annapolis Royal)
- Day 5: Ride to Bear River (Stay in Annapolis Royal)
- Day 6: Morning Ride & Transfer to Lunenburg (Stay in Lunenburg)
- Day 7: Full Day of Riding in Lunenburg (Stay in Lunenburg)
- Day 8: Ride from Lunenburg to Chester (Stay in Chester)
- Day 9: Ride from Chester to Hubbard with Stay in Hubbard (Option for Lobster Feast)
- Day 10: Morning Ride then Trip End with return to Halifax
